Your Web Site is Your Welcome Mat

I was doing some research today, and a lot of the web sites I reached appeared broken: missing images, garbled text, impossible navigation. I'm less likely to trust a site with broken elements, but I get why it happens.

Small businesses are focused on doing what they do best, and that's not typically web design. They may not realize one edit "over here" broke a feature "over there". Most don't have budgets for on-going web-site maintenance because they don't have high-traffic sites.

That's why I recommend Squarespace for small business sites. If you can edit a word processing document, you can edit your web page, all without "breaking" the site.

Many times all you need is a nice looking, easy to edit, functional "welcome mat" to communicate "I'm here! I have things to offer! Get in touch!".

If you're tired of fighting with your system, and losing contacts because of "out of order" madness, check out Squarespace, which may be a better fit for you.
